"THOUGHTS OF THE DAY"

" True success is not defined by the size of your bank account, but rather by the amount of people's lives you can make a positive impact on."

This is something I live by so that I don't spend my life in vain. I wake up each day and think..."what do I want to be remembered for? Who do I want to be remembered as?" This helps me stay on the right track.

COULD IT BE TRUE?

" I thank God for my handicaps for, through them, I have found myself, my work, and my God."
Helen Keller

" Courtesies of a small and trivial character are the ones which strike deepest in the grateful and appreciating heart."
Henry Clay

" Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world."
John Milton

"THOUGHT FOR THE DAY"

" Fear is looking at the opposite direction of faith. It is concentrating on the impossible rather than the possible. It is the master of the coward, the prison of the ignorant, the toothless bulldog that threatens entrance into the room of abundance."

grateful for..

" You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you."
--- Sarah Ban Breathnach

Very Simple...

" If you can't be thankful for what you receive, be thankful for what you escape."

"THOUGHT FOR THE DAY"

" You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you."

SIMPLE...

" If you don't have time to read a book, at least read a quote."

"THOUGHT FOR THE DAY"

" Please take the time to tell those people you love, that you love them, care for them, or whatever they mean to you in your life (positive only). Life is precious, and we need to be grateful for each day we are given."

Thought for the night...

" Don't be the man everyone wants; be the man everyone wants to be."

&
" Life is what we make it and we shall find what we look for.
If we look for sadness and trouble,
if we are in a frame of mind to magnify little difficulties,
we shall find plenty to engross our thought and our conversation."

Good night. Jiji...

Some exceptional moments

"THOUGHT FOR THE DAY"

" Stop picking up hitchhikers... they're not going where you are going; they're just trying to get closer to where they are going. In other words, the ride isn't about you or your destination, it's only about them and theirs. So find out who the hitchhikers are in your life and get rid of them!"
" Weak men say, 'Sorry, I'm busy'. Strong men say, 'Sure, tell me in brief'. Shallow men say, 'I don't have time'. Wise men say, 'I will plan accordingly'."

thought for the night

Lo! where the Moon along the sky
Sails with her happy destiny;
Oft is she hid from mortal eye
Or dimly seen,
But when the clouds asunder fly
How bright her mien!

Far different we--a froward race,
Thousands though rich in Fortune's grace
With cherished sullenness of pace
Their way pursue,
Ingrates who wear a smile less face
The whole year through.

If kindred humorous e'er would make
My spirit droop for drooping's sake,
From Fancy following in thy wake,
Bright ship of heaven!
A counter impulse let me take
And be forgiven.

William Wordsworth

Thought for the day.

" No matter how cloudy and rainy it may be in your particular location,
the sun is always shining somewhere,
so in laymen terms: no matter how bad things may get in your life,
there is always hope."

Remembering Mother Teresa

Inspiring quotations and Events.

The fruit of Silence is prayer,
The fruit of Prayer is Faith,
The fruit of Faith is Love,
The Fruit of Love Is Service,
The fruit of Service is Peace.

Works of love are works of peace.

Whatever I have done is like a drop of water in a mighty ocean. What I have to do is more than what I have already done.

If we are humble, nothing can change us; neither praise nor discouragement. If someone were to criticize us, we would not feel discouraged. If someone were to praise us, we would not feel proud.

The poor are not only in the slums but right here in our houses. Right here we satiate His thirst.

The less we have, the more we give. It seems absurd, but it's the logic of love.

See the face of God in everything, in everyone and everywhere.

If we really want to love we must learn how to forgive.

Instead of death and sorrow let us bring peace and joy.

God has not called me to be successful. God has called me to be faithful.

-Mother Teresa

Inspiring Quotations

In times of difficulties, don't ever say, "God I have a big problem", instead say - "Hey problem, I have a big God" and everything will be alright.

We live in our dreams but dreams may die, don't get shattered and never ever cry. The world is big and has lots to give. Pick up a new dream and that's the way to live.

A PRAYER FOR THOSE WHO LIVE ALONE

I live alone, dear Lord,
Stay by my side,
In all my daily needs,
Be thou my guide.

Grant me good health,
For that indeed, I pray
To carry on my work
From day to day.

Keep pure my mind,
my thoughts, and my every deed.
Let me be kind, unselfish
in my neighbor’s need.

Spare me from fire, from flood
Malicious tongues,
from thieves, from fear,
and evil ones.

If sickness or an accident befall
Then humbly, Lord, I pray,
Hear, thou my call,
And when I'm feeling low,
Or in despair,
Lift up my heart
And help me in my prayer.

I live alone, dear Lord,
Yet have no fear,
Because I feel Your presence
Ever near.

My conviction about prayer..

LIFE BEGINS WITH PRAYER

Let us pray and talk to our Heavenly Father.
Family prayer should not be a last resort, it should be first.

Prayer is like vitamin pills, to build up those who are run down.

If at first you don't succeed, pray and pray again.
Prayer is a pause that refreshes.

Sometimes prayer is the only solution to the problems of life. Use the name of Jesus often in your prayer.

Your joy in life depends much upon your prayers in life.
Prayer is a rain maker that causes showers of blessings.

He who goes to bed without praying really gets into a spiritually cold bed.

Six short Stories...............with moral

Thought for the Day

“The quality, not the longevity,
of one’s life is what is important.”

~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

About myself…

Hello! My name is Jiji. [Male/ Born on 02-02-1980] I live in Kerala, in Munnar. First of all I'd like to confess - I'm not a great philosopher or a preacher :) I'm just an ordinary man working for a hospitality/hotel company in India. I started my homepage in 2007. At first it was no more than "a collection of links and few photos of Munnar". Then I decided to do something more interesting and this month [November 2009] the new Blog was born... I am not a person with a large number of friends or very modern [in worldly manner] like a hash bush set up and all. I know my capacity and how many of my friends/loving elders I can hold very close to my heart, only upon that number I am focusing now. Instead of being alone in the middle of a big group, I can be happy/proud when I am with my small number of loving, truthful companions/friends and respected once. My wife Mrs.Elizabeth, she is a lawyer and the small angel my daughter Ann Mary/ born on 2nd September 2009 … yes, this is my family, nothing extra. Be with us and pray for us.
